Automation GT’s professional management team brings a variety of skill sets to the table in management, design, and manufacturing.

 

Simon Grant, CEO & President


Simon is a biotechnology and life science industry specialist with a strong skill set in initiative delivery, scope and risk management. Prior to Automation GT, Simon developed corporate strategy programs for the world leader in science and biotechnology, Amgen. Over a twelve-year period, Simon rose to a leadership role managing multiple infrastructure and business initiatives with a focus on improved business processes, reduced costs, and increased efficiency while maintaining compliance with FDA and other global regulatory requirements. His first exposure to the subject of automation in life science and biotech industries came from his experience in the clinical development of global drug technology focusing on clinical safety solutions, trial submission automation, and FDA validation.

 

Monique Klein, Chief Operating Officer


Monique spent over twenty years as a technology consultant with various Fortune 500 companies including IBM, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, and Deutsche Bank before joining biotechnology giant Amgen to provide leadership on key initiatives.

Managing large-scale programs during a period of rapid expansion refined Monique’s understanding of the critical requirements of specifying and implementing complex systems.

Monique is now focused on implementing robust design and manufacturing methodologies to ensure we continue to focus on high quality standards to best meet our clients’ needs.

 

Jim Snook, Director of Sales

As Director of Sales, Jim Snook leads the development of Automation GT’s sales capability and strategy. He brings over 16 years of experience in laboratory automation sales leadership within pharmaceutical, academic, forensic, clinical diagnostic, agribusiness, and biodefense markets. Prior to joining Automation GT, Jim acted as Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Quanta Biosciences and was Senior Director of Sales at Millipore. Jim’s experience in integration of equipment in complex organizations and in building go-to-market strategies provides valuable insight for his role as Director Sales at Automation GT. He holds a B.S. in Chemistry and Biochemistry from the University of California San Diego. Originally from the Bay Area, he now lives in San Diego with his wife and kids and is an avid cyclist.
